Internal and external refurbishment works | Kettering

Our client found themselves with a vacant property following the existing tenant going into administration.

The specification and scope of works were prepared to ensure the essential works were completed, while meeting the client’s ESG requirements. These were communicated to contractors through a comprehensive Specification of Works, along with relevant drawings and other documentation.

Once the project entered the contract stage, it was closely managed to ensure it stayed on budget.

Paul Hazell, Executive Partner in the Building Consultancy team commented, “Industrial refurbishment projects can often be perceived as straightforward due to the standardisation of construction processes. However, the age of the building, materials used, layout, and specific client requirements—especially around ESG and budget control—require flexibility and agility to ensure project success. Careful attention to cost and value engineering at the early stages was crucial for maintaining cost management throughout the project, ensuring it stayed on budget and met the client’s expectations.”
