Milton Keynes City Plan 2025: Opportunity for land to be included in the growth of the city

August 28, 2024

An opportunity for your land to be included in the growth of Milton Keynes  (Regulation 18 Consultation)

Milton Keynes City Council (MKCC) is currently preparing a new Local Plan, the MK City Plan 2050, which will determine locations for future development in the City until 2050. As part of the process, MKCC is inviting representations regarding locations of future growth and infrastructure, and also proposals for suitable residential and commercial development sites that may be considered as possible development allocations in the Plan.

The new Plan will cover a significant period of time and will form the basis on which most planning applications will be determined.  It is therefore important for landowners to be aware of this and to make meaningful representations and submissions to the Council during this consultation period if they wish their land to be considered. The MK City Plan 2050 is ambitious with its housing delivery and growth for the area, the draft plan requires an additional 30,000 dwellings to be built in addition to those already planned for.

The consultation period runs until 9th October 2024  so please get in touch if you would like us to assess the potential for your land to be included, and to make a representation submission on your behalf.

Kirkby Diamond has represented many landowners within the Milton Keynes area, helping them realise the full potential of their land, and has been instrumental in the delivery of many sites across the city and the wider region.
