Kirkby Diamond wraps up warehouse deal with gift retailer

Leading gifts retailer Sass & Belle has wrapped up a multi-million-pound investment in Bedfordshire by acquiring a distribution warehouse unit.

The international company, which sells a wide range of homeware, living and children’s gifts, has acquired a 55,000 sq ft warehouse – known as MK:55 – at Bramley Road, Bletchley, in Milton Keynes, for an undisclosed sum.

The property, which sits on a 2.5-acre site, has a secure gated yard, loading via two ground floor level loading doors to main warehouse and two to the high bay section, with two-storey offices and parking for around 33 cars. 

Kirkby Diamond was acting on behalf of a global distribution company in the sale of the freehold premises. Eamon Kennedy, executive partner and head of agency at Kirkby Diamond, said: “This deal marks the conclusion of a great team effort at Kirkby Diamond. 

“Opportunities to acquire freehold industrial space really are extremely rare so we were not surprised to see a great deal of interest in MK:55 when we put it on the market. Sass & Belle required a new distribution centre in an excellent location and MK:55 met all of their needs. The company is a very welcome addition to the regional business community.”

Kirkby Diamond has also been appointed by the global distribution company to dispose of other sites and provide leasehold advice.
