Central Bedfordshire Council Call for Sites

December 19, 2024

Central Bedfordshire Council is in the early stages of preparing a new Local Plan.

As part of the forming of the Local Plan, a Call for Sites exercise has been launched, closing on the 20th January 2025. This allows landowners to submit areas of greenfield sites to be considered by the Council for inclusion in the Local Plan, which will consider growth areas, infrastructure, commercial and residential development sites which meets the Council’s growth objectives. The Call for Sites process is a vital part of the Local Plan process and is the first step in getting your sited allocated. The new Plan will form the basis of assessment of most planning applications.

It is important for landowners to be aware of this and to make meaningful representations and submissions to the Council during this consultation period, if they wish their land to be considered.

The Call for Sites is open until the 20th January 2025 so please get in touch if you would like us to assess the potential for your land to be included, and to make a representation on your behalf.

Kirkby Diamond has represented many landowners within the Bedfordshire area, helping them realise the full potential of their land, and has been instrumental in the delivery of many sites across the wider region.
